Announcing the Seventh Broadway Bound Blogathon

Our second blogathon announcement of this week, and we’re gonna be back on Broadway, friends, for the seventh time. Oh muh word, can you believe it? I know this blogathon is a favorite with a lot of people and it’s one of mine too, especially since Broadway Bound is the first blogathon I ever hosted (see my Blogathons page here). Broadway has a lot of sentimental value, you know?

For those of you who are just joining us, the Broadway Bound Blogathon is when the blogging world talks about everything and anything concerning the Great White Way and Tinseltown. In a nutshell, it’s this:

  • Films made by actors, writers, directors, songwriters, etc. who have worked in both Broadway and Hollywood,
  • Biopics of Broadway performers,
  • Movies made about Broadway,
  • Movies made of Broadway shows,
  • Movies made into Broadway shows.

The blogathon will take place from June fourteenth through June sixteenth, the latter of which, incidentally, is the day of this year’s Tonys broadcast. It’s all very neat, right?

So yeah, without further ado, here are…

The Rules
  1. If anyone would like to participate, please leave a comment at the end of this post, or drop me a line via my Contact page, X, Bluesky, or Instagram (all @TakingUpRoom), or e-mail me at rebeccadeniston@gmail.com.
  2. Please leave your blog name and chosen topic, which can be from any era and any genre. Participants are limited to three posts.
  3. Again, the blogathon will take place from June fourteenth until June sixteenth. Posts can be sent to me on or around those days, via any of the channels listed above.
  4. New material only, please, and nothing derogatory will be accepted.
  5. Since the world of Broadway is so gigundo, duplicates are forbidden. However, the same topic can be explored from different angles, such as via a listicle.
  6. Grab a banner and advertise the blogathon!

  3. Seems to me I might have signed up before with this. If so, it must have been during that two year period I could never get motivated because of the COVID stress. But I’m ready to try again.
