It’s here, everyone! Let’s do this.
You’re all pros and you know what happens next. Please send me your articles throughout the weekend and I’ll post them here as soon as I can. Either leave a comment here, send it via e-mail (rebeccadeniston@gmail.com) or send them to me on Twitter/X, Bluesky, or Instagram (all @takinguproom). There will also be a wrapup post on Monday, so if anyone has to send something in late, don’t worry about it. Life happens.
And if anyone would like to join our event, please feel free! All the deets are here.
All right, we have quite a smorgasbord of articles ahead this weekend, so I hope you enjoy!

Maddy from Classic Film and TV Corner kicks us off with a look at the TV version of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1968-1970).

Sally from 18 Cinema Lane keeps us going with 1991’s Christmas On Division Street, featuring a mid-Wonder Years Fred Savage.

Gill from Realweegiemidget Reviews introduces us to the 1985 miniseries, Hollywood Wives.

Quiggy from The Midnite Drive-in gives us his thoughts on the 1966 film, Don’t Worry, We’ll Think Of A Title.

What would you do with a million dollars? Ruth from Silver Screenings asks that question in her review of 1945’s Brewster’s Millions.

Nitrateglow takes a look at the 1964 Kurosawa film, The Outrage, which starred Paul Newman-of-all-people as a Mexican bandit.

Barry from Cinematic Catharsis shows us the crazy world of 1968’s Danger: Diabolik.

Debbie from Moon Over Gemini has Many Thoughts about the recent Netflix series, The Tourist.

Bud and RR from Jeff Arnold’s West look at the time Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford teamed up in 1979’s The Frisco Kid.

Le from Crítica Retrô reviews the 1915 Italian film, Filibus.

Here’s my review of the 1994 epic, Legends Of the Fall.
Keep ’em coming! Thanks, everyone, and depending on when you read this, look out for that wrapup post on Monday…

Sorry I was traveling so a day late! Here is my entry: a 1969 film released in 1973 that fell through the cracks but now is released in a terrifically insightful blu-ray special edition – so of course I chose it “on the spot!” https://johnrieber.com/2024/12/16/uncovering-hollywood-90028-this-unearthed-film-is-my-on-the-spot-review/

Sorry to be late, but here’s what I came up with – a buried film that is now beautifully restored – “art house Grindhouse” is the way to describe it! https://johnrieber.com/2024/12/16/uncovering-hollywood-90028-this-unearthed-film-is-my-on-the-spot-review/
