The Great Muppet Guest Star Caper Has Arrived

It’s time for The Muppet Show!

We can tell people are raring to go for our little Muppet guest star extravaganza, so please feel free to send Gill and I your posts over the next three days (find Gill’s blog here), or beyond, because, ya know, life, and we’ll add them on our respective pages. Naturally, since Gill’s in Finland and I’m in California, we’re the blogathon that never sleeps. Woo hoo!

And now without further ado (please click the images)…

The Reel Bits

Sally from 18 Cinema Lane starts us off with a review of the classic 1981 Muppet extravaganza, The Great Muppet Caper with John Cleese in a wee cameo.

Terence from A Shroud of Thoughts also starts us off with Alice Cooper’s turn on The Muppet Show.

Andrew from The Stop Button has some thoughts on Muppet guest star Peter Ustinov in 1968’s Hot Millions.

Paul from Pfeiffer Films and Meg Movies brings us Candace Bergen in the 1981 film, Rich and Famous.

My lovely co-host, Gill of Realweegiemidget Reviews, checks out Mark Hamill in the 1995 remake of Village Of the Damned.

Le from Crítica Retrô considers Muppet Show favorite (and favorite in general) Bob Hope in 1947’s My Favorite Brunette.

Sally from 18 Cinema Lane brings us her second review, 1985’s Follow That Bird.

Kayla from Whimsically Classic shares favorite moments and episodes from The Brady Bunch, starring Muppet Show alum Florence Henderson.

Here’s my post about the 1995 TV movie, The Great Mom Swap, with Muppet Show guest star Valerie Harper as a peppy Italian American mom.

Rachel from Hamlette’s Soliloquy goes to Paris with Muppet guest star Gene Kelly in 1951’s An American In Paris.

Eric from Diary of A Movie Maniac has this review of the star-studded 1976 mystery homage, Murder By Death.

J-Dub from Dubsism looks at Muppet guest star Alan Arkin’s turn in the 1995 movie, Glengarry Glen Ross.

Rotten Tomatoes

Alan Arkin is a popular fella! Catherine from Thoughts All Sorts has reviewed his 2009 film, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.

Ari from The Classic Movie Muse pays tribute to the wonderful Julie Andrews, Muppet alum and star of Mary Poppins.

Erica from Poppity Talks Classic Film discusses another Muppet alum, Tony Randall, in three of his second banana films.

Eric from Diary of A Movie Maniac brings us his second review of the Caper and second guest star Peter Falk in 1978’s The Cheap Detective.

Keep ’em coming, all! Depending on when you see this, a little wrapup post is on the way Thursday…
