The John Williams Blogathon: Wrapup

Hard to believe, everyone, but we’ve come to the end of this blogathon. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m kinda sorry to see it go because it’s been cool delving into the life and work of our honored guest. I hope Mr. Williams had a happy ninetieth birthday. and that everyone’s had fun.

Thanks so much to all of you who participated, read, and commented! You all have made this a fascinating and fun event, covering a nice cross-section of Williams’ filmography. I’m enjoying working through your posts and seeing your thoughts about Mr. Williams and his seriously impressive body of work.

The thing that I keep realizing and people keep telling me is that they’re enjoying learning about John Williams, and a lot of us seem to have realized we’ve barely scratched the surface. In fact, there’s so much to learn about this titan of American music that I’m almost tempted to bring it back as a yearly thing. Almost. I’ll have to think about it. 🙂

Now we’ve come to the part when I would state the usual if-anyone-has-a-late-post schpiel, but all of you who signed up got your articles in on time (Woo hoo!). So anyway, if anyone has some additional thoughts feel free to share them, and here’s the Roundup Post in case someone wants to catch up on stuff they might have missed.

All right, there’s a surprise review coming up on Friday. Thanks again, everyone, and see you soon…
