Broadway Bound 2020: Day One

We have arrived on Broadway, people. Are you ready for this? I don’t know about anyone else, but celebrating the Great White Way feels like finding an oasis in the middle of a desert of chaos. Not to be dramatic or anything, but current events are really sucky right now. And that’s as far as I’m going with that.

All righty, let’s take a cue from my lovely participants and hit the ground running. As usual, please send me your entries throughout the day and I’ll add them here.

Realweegiemidget Reviews gets us started with a look at Michael Caine in Alfie.

Silver Screenings takes us to the Wild West with Annie Get Your Gun. There’s no business like show business!

We’re meeting the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sweeney Todd, courtesy of Wide Screen World.

Caftan Woman has a review of Blue Denim for us, starring the ever-durable Marsha Hunt.

The Classic Movie Muse shows us the underrated gem, One Touch of Venus.

Pure Entertainment Preservation Society explores the perennial Bette Davis classic, All About Eve.

Here’s my review of the granddaddy of all MGM movie musicals, The Broadway Melody.

Thanks to everyone who has sent in their posts! Keep ’em coming, and see you tomorrow for Day Two…
